trunkh. is the first Cambodia-centric lifestyle brand in the world.

We celebrate and elevate ordinary objects and daily traditions of Cambodian rural, home and street life through a unique and eclectic collection of fashion, jewellery, homewares & soft furnishings that we design and collect.

Ex Sydney Australia boys Philip & Dennis now live and work in this exotic, ancient part of the world and roadtrip the countryside in search of beautiful objects and inspiration.

Philip has worked in the film, TV and performing arts industries in Australia for the past 20 years. As a costume maker, he worked on internationally renowned projects including ‘Moulin Rouge’ & ‘La Boheme on Broadway’ for Baz Luhrmann, ‘Queen of the Damned’ for Warner Brothers films and the Sydney Olympics opening ceremony in 2000. In 2002 Philip commenced what was meant to be a short, two-week tenure making costumes in the Costume Department at Opera Australia. Five years later having worked as the Costume Department Runner, Assistant Buyer, Dresser and Costume Coordinator, he moved on to an Arts-Management role within OA’s Company Office in 2007.

Since leaving Opera Australia in 2010, Philip was working as an Artist Manager for one of Australia’s leading Classical talent management firms.

Dennis completed his apprenticeship in Perth and qualifying as a hairdresser. He  owned a successful hair salon at Marina Mirage on the Gold Coast, Queensland for many years. After further training in make-up artistry, he has worked for over 20 years as a hair and make-up artist in the film and television industry.   With credits on feature films for Warner Brothers and Disney studios such as ‘The Chronicles of Narnia - Voyage of the Dawn Treader’ and ‘George of the Jungle 2’,  Dennis has also worked extensively on Australian TV series and tele-movies including ‘Through my Eyes’, ‘Killing Time’ and ‘Wentworth’ to name a few. Seeking a change after years of working 15 hour days on film sets, Dennis accepted a role with a leading international Cosmetics House in 2004 as Head of Campus at the Make-up Artist Training Academy in NSW. In 2010 he moved into the retail sector, and was managing stores for several leading Australian and International fashion brands.
